Blogging is the hottest & the most happening activity on the internet today.
A blog is the acronym for "Website Log", it
contains articles, opinions, reviews, comments, etc in reverse chronological
order (most recent first). Blogs are primarily used as personal journals. It
provides author(s) a way of expressing their thoughts on any topic; from
politics to history, from sports to books, no topic is out of context here
because it is the blogger who decides what they want to write about. Many well
known celebrities also have a blog.
If you have good knowledge about any topic or issue, a blog is a good way of
sharing that knowledge. What's more you can just write about your life, as long
as it keeps visitors interested and makes them come back for more. If the blog
is maintained well, with good content it can attract a lot of visitors. There
are many blogs which attract thousands of visitors each day. Once you have a
decent number of visitors it is quite easy to make money.
Once you have created a blog, register with Google Adsense. Google Adsense
will provide you with a code to put on your blog. Once you put that code,
contextual ads will be displayed on your blog. Contextual ads are those ads
which are related to the topic on which the webpage is based on. So if you have
written a page about Soccer, Soccer related advertisements will be
displayed. Since the ads are contextual the click rate is higher than a normal
ad. You get paid each time a user clicks on the ad. Also you can display ads to
promote products of other websites (so you get a commission for each
purchase done by a user whom you referred), have your blog sponsored by a
magazine, product, etc. Many companies are also known to sponsor the blog of
their employees.
What makes blogging special is that you are getting paid to share your
knowledge or express your opinion, so you need not learn something new to do it.
All you need to do is signup with any good Blog service (many are free), then
join Google Adsense as a publisher, start posting and start promoting your blog.
